The Netherlands is reeling from a political bombshell after Gidi Markuszower, the newly appointed Vice-Premier and Minister of Migration, resigned amidst an investigation by the Dutch intelligence agency, the AIVD.
Interior Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin sent a letter to Wilders, warning him that Markuszower was suspected of unspecified wrongdoing by the AIVD. Wilders subsequently advised Markuszower to withdraw from the government, which he did.
